    Employees Worry as AI’s Development Outpaces Learning Programs


    The Wire: Employees want faster delivery of new training, but nearly half believe AI is advancing more quickly than their company’s learning programs.



    The potential of AI to improve corporate learning is frequently discussed in HR circles, especially as new technologies more quickly reduce the value specific skills. Employees know this, and don’t believe their needs and company learning programs are syncing up to address it.

    Research from TalentLMS reveals that more than two-thirds of U.S. employees, 69%, want to see faster delivery of new training efforts, while 49% believe AI is advancing more quickly than their company’s learning programs. And training on the use of AI itself is in demand: nearly two-thirds, 65%, want guidance on how to safely and ethically use the technology.

    Still, employers don’t appear to be in sync with their employees on this. Reskilling workers because of AI is the lowest priority for CHROs and other HR leaders, the Conference Board recently found. While only 7% are implementing reskilling strategies for affected job roles, experimenting with AI was the top priority.
