Classic Fire + Life Safety announces today a province-wide recruitment campaign aimed at securing up to 10 full and part-time positions by the end of 2023. The Kelowna fire protection contractor, formally known as Integrated Fire Protection, is a leader in the B.C. market. Originally founded in 1990 by brothers Greg and Gerald Koch, Integrated Fire protection joined the Classic Fire + Life Safety family in July 2023, operating now under the Classic Fire + Life Safety banner. The company legacy and commitment to the fire protection industry continues with son and nephew, Ryan Koch, and president Adam Shackleton in remaining in leadership roles.
“Our success starts with our people,” says Adam Shackleton, former president of Integrated Fire Protection and now a director of business development at Classic FLS. “As Integrated Fire Protection, we were able to establish a hard-earned reputation for quality, reliability, professionalism, knowledge, and fairness in the Okanagan Valley and Interior B.C. Now as Classic Fire + Life Safety, we are poised for sustained growth and want to bring these same values to even more customers.”
Based on the theme “Better”, the recruitment campaign includes traditional and digital advertising in outlets such as local newspapers, billboards, and digital media channels. The campaign will also rely on promotional activity with various local partners, associations, colleges and trade schools including incentives to encourage referrals among staff.
The company is hiring to fill these positions – Registered Fire Protection Technicians, CFAA Fire Alarm Technicians, Sprinkler Fitters, and Apprentices. With the support of a tight knit and experienced team, the company provides training, mentorship, support, and opportunities for growth. The full list of openings is also available at Indeed, by searching Classic Fire + Life Safety, as well as on the company’s website.
“Our primary mission is to make buildings, and the people inside those buildings safe, and every individual in our company plays a crucial role in achieving our mission,” says Francois Godin, CEO of Classic Fire + Life Safety. “We work together to save lives.”
