Chasetown-based construction company, Tara Group, has launched its new Tara Talent website with applications to its graduate and apprenticeship programmes now open.
The family-owned Tara Group, which consists of Cameron Homes, Chasetown Civil Engineering and Keon Homes, currently employs over 250 people from across the Midlands with over 10% of the Tara Group workforce currently involved in ’earn & learn’ schemes.
With over 2 million people work in the construction sector, which accounts for nearly 10% of total employment in the UK, construction is a cornerstone of the country’s economy and its growth targets, which is why Tara Group continues to create graduate opportunities and apprenticeship that help ensure the industry’s future.
Tara Group’s new Tara Talent website (www.taratalent.co.uk) highlights the group’s opportunities, which includes bricklaying, groundworker, site supervisor, office-based apprenticeships, undergraduate and graduate programmes, as well as offering a summer work placement scheme.
Carli Gallier, People Manager at Tara Group said: “Here at Tara Group we’re really proud of the opportunities that we offer to the next generation of talent looking to take their first step into the construction industry. Launching our new Tara Talent website allows us to reach even more people looking to enter the industry securing themselves a lifelong career and dispel some of the myths that are associated with the industry.”
Current Graduate Trainee at Tara Group, Charlie Green, added: “Joining Tara Group was the best decision I could have made, my time here has far exceeded any expectations. The graduate scheme has given me the opportunity to rotate around the business spending time with multiple departments to learn from specialists in every field before settling into a final role.
“In construction, every day is different as you’re working in a challenging and varied environment. The support and training I have been given has allowed me to embrace the challenge, make a real contribution and take on further responsibilities whilst continuing to learn and progress through the programme.”
The unique graduate programme allows candidates to experience every team within the company, over a two year period, enabling them to determine where their strengths and capabilities are best placed, before committing to a career in a chosen team.
