Dress for Success Toronto and the Initiative for Women in
Business at the University of Toronto’s Rotman School of Management have proudly
partnered to support women returning to the labour market. Back to Work Digital is a
specialized online learning program focused on job search and networking skills
development. There will be an annual offering of the program, starting in January 2023,
with ten spots for participants subsidized by Dress for Success Toronto in each offering
over a three-year commitment.
“We aim to provide participants with a competitive advantage in the development of
immersive job search skills,” said Dr. Beatrix Dart, Academic Director of Back to Work
Digital and the Executive Director of the Initiative for Women in Business at the Rotman
School. “This program will increase each participant’s confidence level and give them a
better sense of career direction.”
Program highlights include:
• Behavioural interviewing and salary negotiations
• Leading practices for resumes on LinkedIn profiles
• Executive Coaching on networking and career management
Eligible applicants must have a minimum of five years’ work experience, have been out
of the paid workforce for six months or longer and possess undergraduate or advanced
degrees. Included in the course curriculum is an onsite Boutique Experience Day
hosted by Dress for Success Toronto. Participants will access professional attire for
interviews and a professional head shot for LinkedIn profiles.
“Our partnership with Rotman beautifully complements and elevates the way we serve
our community. Many of the women we meet are highly skilled, motivated, and ready to
get back to work - an overwhelming goal to navigate alone after being out of the paid
workforce. This program offers our clients the time and encouragement to build the
skills, networks, and knowledge of the current labour market to step back into their
careers with confidence and optimism.” ~ Harriet Goodman, DFS Toronto Board Chair
