Specialist Spiritual Care Provider, The Company Chaplain, LLC, partners with First Sun EAP Alliance, Inc. to provide specialist spiritual support to all First Sun EAP customers and the South Carolina farming community.
    Press Releases
The Company Chaplain, a digital health innovator providing specialist spiritual care programs to employers, has collaborated with First Sun EAP to create a spiritual care offering to add to First Sun EAP's program services. First Sun EAP provides Employee Assistance Program (EAP) services to customers nationwide and to the South Carolina farming industry.

The new specialist spiritual care benefit adds to the array of mental health, life management and well-being services clients already receive through First Sun EAP. "Specialist spiritual care opens many opportunities for us and our clients, Lisa Hardy, vice president of EAP Services, First Sun EAP.

Access to specialist spiritual care is made through The Company Chaplain's online platform. It enables clinically trained professional chaplains who typically work in the nation's health care system to provide online care to employees covered by their EAP.

Specialist spiritual care differs from mental health care and the care that a pastor or priest might provide. It focuses on listening with deep compassion to the client's difficulties, assessing their spiritual needs and supporting their own spiritual and religious preferences and beliefs.

Maria Lund, president and COO of First Sun EAP, reports an increasing number of clients dealing with crises of purpose and meaning. "Adding The Company Chaplain to our provider network is another way we are caring for and supporting the changing needs of our client base.

Common needs for spiritual care include:
    " Relationship problems
" Fear and worry, including financial worries
" Bereavement, including grief and sadness
" Anticipatory grief, existential distress related to serious illness
" Moral injury or distress, including ethical concerns
" Religious or spiritual questioning, doubts, including spiritual development
" Job-related problems and stress related to work or the workplace

"Specialist spiritual care starts with a professional spiritual assessment of a client's needs, said The Company Chaplain founder Geoffrey Tyrrell. "We don't have a cookiecutter approach. We don't evangelize. We listen to what is important to each client and support the inner being (the spirit or soul) to renew a client's strength, access a place of peace and healing, bring new hope, resolve difficult dynamics in relationships and restore a sense of safety and well-being.

About The Company Chaplain The Company Chaplain is a digital health platform where clients connect with boardcertified chaplains.
