Key findings in the Business/Professional Services space include:
- 25 percent of business/professional services professionals reported their organization invests more than $100,000 annually on emerging and transformative technologies, the lowest of all industries.
- The top two reasons why business/professional services organizations aren’t adopting IoT and emerging and transformative technologies include lack of regulations/compliance requirements (45 percent) and lack of time (40 percent).
- 86 percent of business/professional services professionals reported their organization plans to adopt IoT and emerging and transformative technologies within one year, the highest of all industries.
- When it comes to investments in emerging and transformative technologies, the top three investments across industries include IoT and Smart Office (70 percent), artificial intelligence (53 percent) and business process transformation tools, such as ServiceNow (52 percent).
- The top three risks and challenges experienced with emerging and transformative technologies include increased security threats, such as cyberattacks, ransomware and malware (60 percent), risk of technology failure (58 percent) and increased dependency on technology (52 percent).
