37% of unvaccinated workers say nothing would convince them to get vaccinated
PROVO, Utah and SEATTLE (Nov. 18, 2021) — With Pfizer expected to announce the approval of booster shots for all adults, Qualtrics (Nasdaq: XM), the leader and creator of the Experience Management (XM) category, today released new research on what is keeping unvaccinated workers across the country from getting vaccinated and how far they are willing to go to avoid getting the shot.
See Full Study + Methodology Here.
Highlights, Among Unvaccinated Workers:
- 28% would consider lying about their COVID-19 vaccination status or fabricating documents in order to keep their jobs
- 52% say a mandate would make them less inclined to get vaccinated compared to 23% who say they would be more likely to get vaccinated
- 37% say nothing would convince them to get vaccinated
- Only 7% say an executive order or company policy would motivate them to get vaccinated
- Only 3% of workers say a monetary fine would motivate them to take the shot
QUOTE from Benjamin Granger, Ph.D., Qualtrics head of employee experience advisory services:
- “Millions of Americans remain hesitant to get the COVID-19 vaccine, and as governments and employers double down on policies and incentives, many unvaccinated people are digging in their heels. The goal for organizations must be to put in place appropriate safety guidelines while keeping the relationships between employer and employee—and government and citizen—intact. Booster shots may go a long way toward making workplaces and other public spaces safer, but vaccine resistance—especially if it’s accompanied by dishonesty—is likely to delay the long-awaited end to this pandemic.”
