Fuelled by the spirit of compassion & togetherness, RepIndia’s current and former employees have reached out to their network of influencers & brands to create a verified COVID aid page on Instagram.
The strength of people lies in togetherness. Abiding by this timeless motto, RepIndia has stepped up its efforts to aid not just its employees but the larger community as well amidst this unprecedented national crisis that we all are facing at the moment.
Chief amongst the initiatives taken is the inspiring coming together of current and former RepIndia employees, RepIndia alumni, employees from other leading advertising agencies and social influencers to create Covid-911 – an Instagram page that has joined the fight against COVID-19 by sharing verified resources and vital information. The purpose behind the formation of the Covid 911 page is to facilitate compassion, support and humanity for one and all – essentially working together to create a real difference in the lives of not just colleagues but everyday people, who in these desperate times are in desperate need for help.
RepIndia was quick to utilize its network of medical industry clients and influencers to check for the real-time availability of medicines, beds, oxygen beds, ICU, ventilators, ambulances, oxygen cylinders and concentrators, etc. – all of which is updated 24x7 on the page with verified leads.
Celebrity influencers like Shruti Seth and Mini Mathur rallied behind the initiative and amplified it to the masses - personally calling numbers and verifying leads themselves. The agency’s high-profile clientele, ranging from Medanta and JSW to Adani Group, also chipped in and helped the initiative reach even more people in need of immediate assistance.
Reflecting on the initiative, Ayesha Chenoy, Founder, RepIndia, said: “The last few weeks have been some of the toughest we’ve experienced, and business as usual felt irrelevant when our colleagues, our country was in distress. We used everything we learnt- everything we are to help - connecting people with the resources they need, amplifying their urgent requests , guiding them in the right direction or at times simply being there for them, to listen to them, hear them out and empathise. For me, that is what being human is about. In the years to come, I will look back at this time, knowing that we did everything we could to ease suffering in our own capacity - that we were the “strangers” who maybe , just maybe helped. This was the best work RepIndia has ever done .”
TV host Mini Mathur, also an active participant of the initiative commented, “The only thing that really matters right now is how we can be more compassionate and united to alleviate the suffering of our citizens. Covid 911 has been a great difference maker in our fight against the pandemic, and I am truly touched with the great humanitarian effort that everyone has put into connecting people and their families with life-saving aid,” she said.
Renowned actress Shruti Seth, who has also been greatly involved with RepIndia’s initiative, commented, “Hats off to this group of relentless, selfless volunteers doing some serious due diligence and helping people find resources in this time of crisis.”
Additionally, RepIndia also went above and beyond with the spirit of compassion, taking up the responsibility to arrange beds, oxygen and medication in order to ensure the well-being of its employees and their families.
