Felix Global Hires J. James O'Malley & Marc Detampel’s to Launch New Executive Search Practice

Felix Global, the premier leadership development, recruiting and outplacement firm, is proud to announce industry veterans J. James O’Malley and Marc Detampel joined the company to lead its new Executive Search Practice. Jim and Marc’s expertise ensures Felix Global’s leadership product offerings align with the changing business needs of clients across all industries. Jim and Marc officially joined the Felix Global team in February.
“The addition of an Executive Search Practice has been a desire of ours for some time as we continually look for ways to diversify our expertise,” said Jim Graham, chief executive officer of Felix Global. “Jim and Marc bring the exact leadership, professionalism and compassion that will serve our clients well.”
The new Executive Search Practice is part of Felix Global’s growth strategy, which includes expanding and enhancing the firm’s portfolio of services while continuing to provide clients with the best and most thorough human capital improvement services in the industry.
"Combining our executive search expertise with Felix Global’s existing superior capabilities in human capital consulting, executive coaching and leadership development allows the firm to address the ever-changing needs of its high-end clientele,” said O’Malley. “This is a perfect match of complementary skill sets that continue to showcase Felix Global’s best-in-class stature.”
O’Malley will lead Felix Global’s Executive Search Practice and brings with him 30 years of talent acquisition solutions. In 2018, he co-founded a retained search firm focused on recruitment in the private equity, professional services and financial services sectors. Previously, he was a partner and executive search practice leader at TalentRISE, a recruitment solutions firm in Chicago. Prior to that, he was senior vice president in the human resource function of Fifth Third Bancorp. O’Malley has also worked for several professional service firms, including Arthur Andersen, Deloitte, Huron Consulting and Lante.

Detampel brings 25 years of consulting experience to the Felix Global team that includes advising on executive talent, human capital strategy, change management, leadership development and organizational design. He is focused on recruiting and talent management issues for clients in professional services and telecommunications, wireless and cable. As an expert in human capital and organizational issues, he continues to service chief human resources officers. Prior to joining Felix Global, Detampel worked for several global consulting firms including Alvarez & Marsal, EY, Accenture and BearingPoint.
