Philadelphia and Delaware intellectual property law firm adds legal practice professional to team.

Philadelphia IP law firm Panitch Schwarze Belisario & Nadel LLP is pleased to announce that it has hired Miki Yamaguchi to serve as the firm’s IP practice manager for its growing Philadelphia and Wilmington, Delaware offices.

In her new role, Yamaguchi will oversee all support operations for the firm’s intellectual property practice, including coordinating workload among IP support staff, updating and managing IP-related polices, and training.

Yamaguchi has more than 15 years of experience in the field of intellectual property prosecution. Prior to joining Panitch Schwarze Belisario & Nadel, she served as a patent supervisor in the patent group of another Philadelphia law firm. Her responsibilities included coordinating and supervising patent paralegals, including prioritizing work, allocating resources to projects, ensuring timely completion of tasks and adherence to group policies. She also conducted regular team meetings to discuss ongoing work, team issues, and IP group and firm news and provided first-level support to patent paralegals regarding IP-specific questions and day-to-day operational issues.

Before that, Yamaguchi spent 10 years as an intellectual property paralegal, gaining first-hand knowledge of the workings of IP law. She is fluent in Japanese and served as an instructor at the Japanese Language School of Philadelphia for several years.
Yamaguchi earned a bachelor’s degree from Temple University. She lives in Philadelphia.
