Light Is Everything

Bright neon lights are aimed at enabling white light at all times, but they can never be as good as the real thing. Having access to natural light immediately connects you to nature, no matter how mundane it sounds. Besides, if your office space is small, natural light will make it feel bigger, which is always a plus. Have your blinds up throughout the day and try talking to management about the necessity of big windows or, alternatively, placing desks close to windows available.
Include Lots of Glass
The glass is an easy way to make any space more elegant. It can be in the form of glass doors, glass parts of desks and glass separators. This trend stems from co-working spaces that are raw and industrial but still flirting with good design. Areas formed in this way are usually open spaces as transparency is an important feature of business working in them. For example, if there’s a need to isolate an area physically – for a meeting, or a phone call – it will often be done with a glass separator. Glass enables literal transparency and looks quite cool, so include some glass elements in your office for that X factor!
Install Relaxing Spaces

Modern-day offices will often opt for a fun way to offer their employees an opportunity to wind down and take a break. Bigger spaces have a separate fun room, while others will just have a designated space full of lazy bags, books and games. This is, of course, not to suggest you should spend your time there, but spend ten to twenty minutes’ break, as it does wonders for your focus. Companies that really care about their employees will often add a TV for those late nights so one can take a look at the big game – using a particular mount from Ultralift, this TV can be hidden for all the times when it shouldn’t be a distraction!
Introduce Mindfulness
Some recharge their batteries by playing table football – others prefer taking several minutes in isolation. A small meditation area is an easy way to think of all your employees and their needs. If you’re the employee, ask the HR about this cheap addition to the workplace. Chances are they will enable it soon because it needs almost zero resources!
Enjoy an Espresso Bar
If there’s already a kitchen at your work, installing a proper coffee machine can do wonders for the team’s productivity and team spirit. Taking a break to make a cup of joe lets you step away from the desk and the problems you’re currently working on solving, giving you an opportunity to see it from another angle. Or not at all, because it’s good for us to step away from time to time! Good quality coffee grinds and plenty of funky cups and mugs will make you and your colleagues feel as if you’re in a coffee shop. Maybe you can even ask for a barista?
Decorate with Love

Decorating is a lovely way to make you feel like you belong. Adding trinkets, photographs and inspiring quotes you like will colour your space, so it resembles your personality – and it’s also fun because everyone will know where your desk is! If you want an elegant and stylish decoration, arrange a gallery wall. You can combine colours and patterns so that you form a sleek puzzle, or just mix and match if that feels more like you!
While a beautiful and fun office isn’t solely responsible for your excellent performance at work, it’s incredible how much good design can contribute to your good ideas. A space that is fresh and clean is likely to engage your brain cells much more than a cubicle. Do what you can yourself and talk to your colleagues and HR – you might be the catalyst for a positive change that will affect everyone positively!
