BakerHostetler Snags Business and Employment Litigator in California
    Press Releases
BakerHostetler announced today the addition of a seasoned business and employment litigation attorney as a partner in its Costa Mesa office. Daniel F. Lula joins the firm from Payne & Fears LLP.

Throughout his nearly 20-year career, Lula has focused his practice on commercial and employment litigation. He has successfully represented a wide range of clients, including military contractors, financial services companies and nonprofits. His practice spans a number of different types of matters, ranging from contract, trade secret disputes and corporate governance issues on the business side to discrimination, harassment, and wrongful termination complaints as part of his employment practice.

Prior to joining BakerHostetler, Lula held significant leadership positions at Payne & Fears. In addition to his business and employment litigation practices, Lula served as chair of the billing and collections team and chair of the Business Litigation Group.

“Joining BakerHostetler feels like a return to my roots,” Lula said. “The firm culture, commitment to growth and truly national presence makes it a perfect place for my clients and myself to thrive and continue to grow.”

Lula earned his J.D. from Harvard Law School and his B.A. from Yale University.

“Daniel brings to BakerHostetler almost two decades of knowledge in managing high profile commercial litigation matters,” said W. Ray Whitman, chair of the firm’s national Litigation Group. “His diverse client base and wide-ranging matter experience will truly complement our national multidisciplinary Litigation Group.”

BakerHostetler has more than 360 litigators in its 14 offices across the nation. Composed of former prosecutors, veteran civil trial lawyers and former enforcement officials from both state and federal agencies, the firm’s decorated national Litigation Group has for decades successfully represented clients in matters ranging from massive class action lawsuits, to white collar and corporate investigations, to complex energy matters and beyond.
