OKLAHOMA CITY, OKLA. (PRWEB) OCTOBER 10, 2018
Business and civic leaders will be treated to a dynamic lineup of speakers for the ninth annual Refresh Leadership Simulcast, a nationwide event focusing on how leaders can reach the next level, inspire their people and become more effective in their roles.
Sponsored by Express Employment Professionals, former president of adidas North America, Mark King, retired Secretary of State Gen. Colin L. Powell, USA (Ret.) and author, speaker, and Paralympian Josh Sundquist will headline the leadership simulcast on Wednesday, Oct. 24. The event is hosted by roughly 215 Express franchises and is expected to draw 7,000 attendees.
King kicks off the event with “Lessons in Leadership: Competing with Creativity.” This innovation expert challenges leaders to inspire a workforce of creativity and confidence to create things consumers won’t believe are possible.
The lineup continues with Gen. Powell who served as the Secretary of State from 2001 – 2005 under President George W. Bush. Drawing from his experience as a leader on the world stage, Powell will illustrate what it takes to be a successful leader, particularly in times of great change and difficult crises.
Rounding out the lineup is the humorous and inspirational Sundquist. This Paralympian is known for his ski racing training motto: 1MT1MT, one more thing, one more time, which refers to what leaders can do to elevate their performance in sales, customer service, quality improvement, leadership and more. Sundquist’s goal is for the audience to walk away from his motivational presentation with a fresh perspective on everything they have to be grateful for, resolve to overcome whatever challenges they face and a commitment to do one more thing, one more time to reach their potential.
“Together, our simulcast speakers have decades of leadership experience and can speak to a multitude of situations,” said Express CEO Bill Stoller. “We hope attendees walk away from the Refresh Leadership Simulcast inspired and ready to pour into other emerging leaders.”
Poor leadership and communication skills are top threats facing businesses today, and the consequences of failing to address these issues can take a serious toll on a company’s productivity. The Refresh Leadership Simulcast is designed to help business leaders and human resources professionals hone their leadership skills.
