    Your HR department does more work than you think


    Human Resource department is an important part of every organization. Most of the people think that HR people don’t work because their work has no visible tangible output. They're a department that's always there but no one is entirely sure what it is that they really do. HR has sort of a quasi-legal and quasi-auditing function within the company. They're there to make sure appropriate processes and procedures are followed and that the company stays compliant with employment law. 

    HR department is involved in most of the decision-making situation in the company. Their work includes conducting interviews, assist hiring manager to make a hiring decision, conduct various stages of pre-offer screening, offer a job, tell applicants they weren’t selected for the job, schedule newly hired employees for post-offer screening, respond random applicant queries. They assist a manager to document an employee's performance, whether that performance is excellent or truly lacking. Explain a policy, solve random issues, handle applicant calls, some data entry work, and schedule interview for the week.

    They are best known to solve bizarre, last-minute emergency cases. They assist an employee who is evicted or dealing with a health issue or facing divorce just like car title pawn help a person in debt to get out of it. They speak to unions so that work can go on, ensure people get paid on time, receive their benefits, and work with organization leaders to devise long-term strategies with a people perspective.
     
    When there is an issue that requires attention, employees directly go to the human resource department asking for the same. Sometimes, they act as the ‘middleman’ between management and employees or even among employee themselves. They resolve conflict and manage disputes that occur within the workplace. The human resource department keeps the company in tune with any changes to the business’ and government legislative and ruling if necessary. The HR department plays an active role in building public relations by arranging business meetings and seminars. The HR department protects the interest, image, and success of the company in every possible way by complying with various laws, executing administrative processes, and creating policies in the most cost-efficient manner.

    HR department does the multi-tasking and looks after number of problems. They don’t have regular projects, they daily face a new challenge and give their best to solve it. What they do might not have some tangible outcome like the one engineer, artists, accountant produce but they deal with human’s which definitely is not an easy task. The role of the human resource department in a company affects all aspects of the business because human resource supports employees and employees are the most important resource. People criticize them and say they do nothing but they are the one who solves the employee’s grievances. The HR department is necessary for every corporate business and they receive a large digit salary because they are doing their work and not for sitting around in the office and doing nothing. No work is easy and the HR Department is really an important pillar for the structure of corporate development.
