    Why You Should Give Due Respect To Your HR Department?



    Human resource department is often the most overlooked department in any organizational setup not because it is an unproductive department but because most of the employees working in the organization often consider it as a useless department. This happens because most of the employees consider HR department as a hub of useless people sitting idle on the tables creating excel sheets only. But not many people know that if you look from the productivity perspective HR department is an integral part of any business’s success. You will be thinking how a department like the human resource can be of such great importance. Well this is because people are often less aware about the work, role and responsibilities of the HR department. Today we will be discussing about some important roles that HR department plays to contribute to the success of the organization which clearly signals why it deserve the due respect.

    Hiring the Right Candidate: What is an organization in general? It is a group of people working together with the same motive to deliver a product or service to customers and through it generate the revenue and thrive in the competition. So if you think this is what I already know but I am not getting what role the HR department plays then? Well the HR department is responsible for hiring that group of people who are likeminded and fits the job responsibility of a vacant position. This way HR department makes sure that only the best people work in the organization so that even the most difficult goals are achieved within the deadline. So if you think that HR department is useless then rethink that you are also been hired by it because they thought you are fit to play a role for the organization.

    Look after Retention and Employee Grievances: If you think that your job responsibilities are tough then think of the employees working in the HR department that have to look after retention and at the same time have to handle the employee grievances. Most of the employees are unhappy with their organization be it because of the policies, salary increment, leaves, medical aid and many things to mention here. But to keep the employees satisfied and work with full capacity is the role of the HR department. So if you think HR department comprises of a bunch of useless people sitting idle then rethink of all your problems that they have sorted out like when you needed a loan because auto title loans is not what you prefer or you needed an emergency medical leave or you needed a salary increment, needed a promotion or when you were not happy with the company policies.

    Strategy and Policy Formulation: If you think this is not something very important then think of it as you don’t have to prepare a policy for a specific department but the policy is required for the whole organization then think of the points of consideration one has to keep in mind so that not a single department can raise an issue against the policy. Now you must have got an idea of the scale of the policy that HR department has to prepare. Not only this, but there are many legal issues and strategies and client agreement clauses that have to prepared by the so called lazy brigade of HR department. Policy and documentation are some of the most toiling work you can take up and are enough to make anyone sweat hard.
