You would be using your own words while making the slides for your presentation or speech. But using the same words or reading down every line from the slides on the stage is not the way of how quality public speakers speak. A speaker needs to be the person who can talk the way he likes and wants. By using different words with the same meaning and sense as the slide indicates, it will show the knowledge and hold you have on that topic.
