FlexJobs Identifies the Top 50 Companies Hiring for Flexible Jobs
    Press Releases
Hilton Worldwide, Kaplan, and Dell among companies recruiting for the most flexible jobs

Boulder, CO, October 16, 2017-- To help job seekers interested in finding flexible jobs and to celebrate National Flex Day this month, FlexJobs has identified the Top 50 Companies Hiring for Flexible Jobs during the last year.. This list is based on an analysis of over 40,000 companies and and looks specifically at their flexible job posting histories in the FlexJobs’ database between September 30, 2016 and September 30, 2017.

A “flexible job” is defined as a professional-level job that has a telecommuting, flexible schedule, part-time, or freelance component. The overall availability of flexible jobs has been increasing, with FlexJobs experiencing a 17% increase in the number of flexible jobs posted in its database between September 2016 and September 2017.

“Since founding FlexJobs over ten years ago, the flexible job marketplace has steadily grown and diversified, as companies across sizes and industries not only respond to job seekers’ demands for flexibility but also recognize the bottom line benefits of adopting flexible work policies,” said Sara Sutton Fell, Founder and CEO of FlexJobs. “In addition to the growth of available flexible jobs, there are other signs that work flexibility is becoming more acceptable in the workplace as well. For example, the majority (72%) of respondents to our 2017 Work Flexibility Survey said they aren’t worried that a flexible work arrangement will hurt their career progression. And while some respondents said they would be willing to exchange benefits, such as vacation time or retirement savings, to have work flexibility, almost half (43%) said that should not be necessary. This is strong indication that work flexibility is no longer considered a negotiating strategy or perk but, increasingly, an expected job benefit,” Sutton Fell concluded.

Below are the top 10 companies, excluding staffing agencies, that recruited for the most flexible jobs since September 2016, as well as examples of flexible jobs currently posted. . Education, healthcare, computer and IT, and research are among the industries represented on the list. For all top 50 companies hiring for flexible jobs, please visit:
