Spring-Green Lawn Care’s National Training Conference Offers Collective Knowledge for Franchise Owners
PLAINFIELD, ILL. (PRWEB) AUGUST 30, 2017
Spring-Green Lawn Care welcomed franchise owners from across the country to its National Training Conference Aug. 2–5, 2017, at the Hyatt Lodge and Hamburger University in Oak Brook, Ill.
The Spring-Green franchise system from 26 states were represented at the conference. Employees from the Spring-Green corporate office, company owned locations, and franchise locations along with sponsors and vendors attended as well.
This year’s conference theme was Optimize for Success. Presentations featured nationally renowned speakers such as Jay Baer, New York Times bestselling author of Hug Your Haters, and leading green-industry consultant Marty Grunder, author of 9 Super Simple Steps to Entrepreneurial Success.
The 2017 Optimize for Success theme focused on three main areas of the business.
1- Recruitment, Hiring & Organizational Leadership
2- Executing the Spring-Green Operating System
3- Preparing for the Road Ahead
It takes a franchise organization – franchise owners, vendors and the support staff to execute this world class event. “Our goal is to provide a variety of relevant and meaningful training sessions, surrounded by some inspirational and motivational speakers,” said James Young, Spring-Green’s president. "This year we knew we wanted to build off of the work we have done on improving the customer experience and Jay Baer was sensational. Marty Grunder was also fantastic and focused on the growing labor challenges and how building culture and providing organizational leadership will help you recruit and maintain your team members."
Dan Hillenbrand, who has owned his Spring-Green franchise outside of Oklahoma City for just four months, attended the convention for the first time.
“I loved gaining knowledge in my field and learning from others who have been doing this for years,” Hillenbrand said. “The speakers really motivated us to be better stewards to our business and our customers.”
The National Training Conference presentations focused primarily on topics related to Spring-Green’s core values: customer focus, pursuit of common goals, integrity, innovation, and perseverance. But between conference sessions, attendees had the opportunity to network and share collective knowledge with one another.
Chis Casselberry, owner of GreenSeasons and a Spring-Green Lawn Care franchise in Baton Rouge, LA, said those moments of sharing experience and best practices with fellow franchise owners is invaluable. “You get to sit down with other franchise owners and talk about how they run their operations. You get little insights – just little things that make our operation more efficient. We really looking forward to talking to peers and sharing real numbers and information.”
