The 2018 edition of Best Lawyers in America includes 15 attorneys from the Environmental Practice of the international law firm Greenberg Traurig, LLP and names David G. Mandelbaum as Philadelphia “Lawyer of the Year” for environmental law. Together these attorneys represent 12 metropolitan areas and more than 150 years of recognition.
This year, 366 Greenberg Traurig attorneys from across the firm’s U.S. offices are listed in the publication with 26 of the firm’s attorneys named “Lawyers of the Year.” This marks the 11th consecutive year the firm has more attorneys listed than any other law firm in the guide.
According to the Best Lawyers website, the attorneys are selected based upon a peer-review process, in an effort to capture a general consensus from leaders in the legal field regarding their peers’ accomplishments and capabilities.
Only one lawyer in each practice area and designated metropolitan area is given the title “Lawyer of the Year.”
Mandelbaum, co-chair of the Environmental Practice, received this special recognition in 2018 for environmental law in the Philadelphia metro area. He is also recognized for Litigation – Environmental and Water Law.
