Company recognized as a top employer for fourth time in past five years
BELLEVUE, WASHINGTON (PRWEB) JUNE 28, 2016
Tecplot, Inc., developer of the leading data visualization software for engineers and scientists, today announced that it has been named one of the “100 Best Companies to Work For” by Seattle Business magazine.
The 2016 award marks the fourth time in the past five years that Tecplot has been honored with this coveted award. The winners were announced last week at a Seattle Business awards banquet at the Washington State Convention Center.
Using detailed responses from anonymous employee surveys, the research firm Fieldwork Webwork determined each company’s score in ten categories: benefits, communication, corporate culture, hiring/retention, executive leadership, performance standards, responsibility/decision making, rewards/recognition, training/education, and work environment.
For judging purposes, nominated companies were separated into four classifications: small (40 or fewer employees), midsize (41 to 100 employees), large (more than 100 employees), and firms headquartered outside Washington. Tecplot ranked 15th among the best “midsize” companies, and achieved its highest score in the “work environment” category.
“The beauty of Seattle Business magazine’s ‘100 Best Companies to Work For’ awards program is that it is based on extensive employee surveys. Firms that make the list get there because the people who work at those businesses like their jobs, their bosses and their benefits,” according to the magazine.
“We are honored to have been recognized as a great place to work for the fourth time in five years,” Tecplot President Tom Chan said. “I’d like to thank Seattle Business for sponsoring such a meaningful recognition program. More importantly, I’d like to thank our employees for participating in the surveys and rating Tecplot high enough in key areas to once again earn entry into this exclusive club. As a management team, we take very seriously our employees’ suggestions for improvement in all areas of our business. It’s rewarding that our commitment to transparency and communication is seen and felt by our very talented and dedicated employees.”
