Move Comes as Employer Adoption of Mindfulness Programs Accelerates
VERO BEACH, FL (PRWEB) APRIL 04, 2016
eMindful, the leading provider of applied mindfulness programs for employer wellness efforts, has expanded its executive leadership team with the addition of Jim Rinere as Chief Revenue Officer. In this role, he will be responsible for scaling the company’s direct sales team serving large employers, while growing the distribution channel with insurers and relationships with major benefits consulting firms.
Previously, Rinere was vice president of national sales and account management at Weight Watchers Health Solutions, a division of Weight Watchers International, Inc. His responsibilities included delivering products to the large employer market with a focus on obesity and diabetes management programs. He brings more than 27 years of experience in employee benefits, insurance distribution, C-suite leadership within the health plan space, consulting/brokerage sector and well-being market. In these areas, he developed product offerings for the enterprise and middle market sectors, created high-touch account management strategies, established product solutions for employer clients and built sophisticated distribution programs.
“eMindful’s powerful mission and evidence-based model coupled with my personal experiences and the impact of mindfulness practices in my own life were the key drivers in my decision to join the team,” Rinere said. “In my view, the combination of eMindful’s scientific efficacy and the digital classroom learning model are going to ignite well-being and performance in workplace cultures.”
The mindfulness and mediation market hit nearly $1 billion in 2015, according to research from IBISWorld. Another indicator of the adoption and acceleration of this market came from a report by Fidelity Investments and the National Business Group on Health. It states that 22 percent of employers will offer mindfulness training this year and that the number could double in 2017.
“Jim Rinere’s success and expertise selling into the employer wellness and insurance/consultant market make him an ideal fit for eMindful’s leadership team,” said Kelley McCabe, CEO and founder of eMindful. “His familiarity with enterprise customers and their needs, along with his extensive industry relationships, will only help us extend our leading position in this rapidly growing market. Plus, Jim is the type of person who will help us on our mission of changing the world for the better.”
