    ANNUAL SIOP CONFERENCE TO HIGHLIGHT CURRENT WORKPLACE RESEARCH


    California - Some of the world’s top workplace scientists and thought leaders will be among the nearly 4,200 workplace psychologists attending the 31st Annual Conference of the Society for Industrial and Organizational Psychology April 14-16 at the Anaheim Hilton and Anaheim Convention Center.

                The conference, which will focus on the latest scientific research on current issues and trends in the workplace, will include more than 800 symposia, practitioner forums, panel presentations, posters and other sessions,

    The three-day event will feature a wide range of workplace topics including women in leadership roles, counterproductive behavior and workplace deviance, turnover and retention, an aging workforce, building stronger work teams, talent management strategies, the impact of cultural differences in the workplace, performance management practices, use of Big Data, pre-employment testing, hiring, social media, women’s interests, and work and family issues.

    SIOP President Steve Kozlowski of Michigan State  University will open the three-day conference Thursday (April 14) morning with the keynote address. Also, during the opening session, SIOP will present its annual recognition awards and announce its new Fellows, men and women who have made significant contributions to the field of IO psychology.

    Laszlo Bock, Google’s vice president of people operations and author of the best-selling book “Work Rules: Insights from Inside Google That Will Transform How Your Live and Lead,” will deliver the closing keynote talk on Saturday (April 16).
