The National Association of Professional Women (NAPW) honors Josephine Iacuzzo Diemond as a 2015-2016 inductee into its VIP Woman of the Year Circle. She is recognized with this prestigious distinction for leadership in education. NAPW is the nation’s leading networking organization exclusively for professional women, boasting 850,000 members and over 200 operating Local Chapters.
“I am pleased to recognize Josephine with this important honor” said NAPW President Star Jones. “Her perseverance, work ethic and leadership qualities are an inspiration to all women.”
“I have 20 years of experience in education,” said Josephine Iacuzzo Diemond, who has held the title of Head of Upper School at McLean School of Maryland since 2006. McLean School of Maryland is an independent, coeducational, college preparatory day school for bright students in kindergarten through grade 12. The school, known for its progressive education programs, also welcomes learners with a wide variety of learning differences.
Ms. Iacuzzo Diemond’s areas of expertise include high school operations, management, faculty development leadership, student development and strategic development. Prior to her current position, Ms. Iacuzzo Diemond was 11th and 12th Grade Head at the prestigious Field School in Washington, DC, and Academic Dean at the independent Madiera boarding and day school in McLean, VA. She also held the title of Language Department Head at the Millbrook School from 1994 to 1999.
After earning her Master’s degree in French Literature from New York University, Ms. Iacuzzo Diemond is currently studying at the University of Pennsylvania for a Doctoral degree in Educational Leadership. She also serves as a Board Member with the Arlington Children’s Theater.
