The National Association of Professional Women (NAPW) honors Christina Steiner as a 2015-2016 inductee into its VIP Woman of the Year Circle. She is recognized with this prestigious distinction for leadership in writing. NAPW is the nation’s leading networking organization exclusively for professional women, boasting more than 850,000 members and over 200 operating Local Chapters.

With several award-winning published works in her portfolio, Christina Steiner has made a place for herself within the world of children’s books. Since 2008, three of her books have won four different awards and honorable mentions.
Ms. Steiner’s stories are often set in nature, including The Sad Tree and Pronuba, which tells the story of a tree named Joshua who has never seen another tree that looks like him. Another work, The Fantastic Travels of William and the Monarch Butterfly, describes a journey of a boy who travels to Mexico on the wings of a butterfly.
“I love nature overall,” said Ms. Steiner. “Often, I’m intrigued with simple things, like a flower or a tree, or a hike through untainted wilderness. Even close to metropolitan areas, one can find treasures of natural beauty.”
After studying Architecture at Fachschule Goldau Switzerland, Ms. Steiner returned to school in 2010 and completed an Associate’s degree in Social and Behavioral Science from Moorpark College, where she graduated with Phi Theta Kappa honors. She is currently a member of the Professional Writers’ Alliance and the Conejo Valley Writers’ Club.
