GREENCASTLE, IN (PRWEB) FEBRUARY 17, 2016
The ETA® Mobile Communications and Electronics Installation (MCEI) certification program has been requested by industry leaders as the demand to bridge the skills gap and keep up with changing technology increases.
To meet this demand, ETA® International will host a MCEI hands-on training workshop during Education Forum, co-locating with International Wireless Telecommunications Expo (IWCE), in Las Vegas March 21 - 23.
MCEI certification ensures the installer has acquired the necessary fundamental skills to deliver more safety, compliance, and efficiency through the use of onboard technology.
“ETA intends to lead the industry in providing the necessary certifications to insure that there are competent and qualified installers and technicians certified and available for work on vehicles and equipment in use today and tomorrow,” said ETA President Teresa Maher, CSS.
This certification workshop includes basic knowledge concepts of land mobile radio (LMR) and associated electronics equipment installation. This also incorporates required skills applicable to all of the functions required to safely and completely install mobile communications and associated electronic equipment, including removal and reinstallation.
Technology in this field is evolving and advancing continuously, vehicle models are changing, and there are an ever increasing number of new products and versions of old products being added to the mobile installation marketplace.
“As vehicles become more complex, the skill set to install communications and electronic devices becomes increasingly demanding. An error can damage internal equipment and add thousands of dollars to the installation expense,” Maher said, “but the MCEI certification insures the technician has acquired the necessary skills to avoid costly mistakes.”
Presented by Chris Dalton, LAS, Radio System Analytics, the MCEI workshop will be March 21-23, 2016. MCEI study guides will be included with the course, along with the ETA certification exam. The total cost is only $1079 with discount code ETA1.
Being an ETA-certified professional offers a competitive edge in the truly exciting and rewarding mobile communications industry. The US Department of Labor predicts job growth in this industry at 7.5% yearly through 2022 with average annual earnings of $ $46,260.
