North Carolina’s McIlveen Family Law Firm celebrates ranking 5th in the Charlotte Business Journal’s 2015 Best Places to Work. This is the second consecutive year the firm has been honored with the award in the small business category, as it ranked 13th in 2014 and was also given the Community Impact Award the same year.
The Charlotte Business Journal’s Best Places to Work Awards is an annual event that honors outstanding companies throughout the entire Charlotte business region based on a combination of criteria, ranging from community involvement to employee survey results. It also recognizes companies whose policies, practices, benefits packages are deemed among the best in the area.
Focused solely on North Carolina family law, the McIlveen Family Law Firm is fully committed to helping families from all over the state resolve complex legal matters on an extensive range of issues, including divorce, child custody and support, alimony, adoption, domestic violence, prenuptial agreements, and grandparent rights.
In order to foster an environment of excellence, the McIlveen Family Law Firm continuously strives to provide its employees with a compelling list of benefits, amenities and other perks. These include a 401K matching program, company Uber accounts, an onsite fitness center, free snacks and sodas, dry cleaning pickup, backup day care, housekeeping services, a rooftop desk, and a nap room with hammock. The law firm’s head office in downtown Gastonia also features an open space concept similar to Silicon Valley companies in order to promote productivity through accessibility.
The expert legal team at the McIlveen Family Law Firm is composed of experienced attorneys who work tirelessly and advocate aggressively for their clients, looking out for their best interests and ensuring that their rights are always protected. Co-founders Angela and Sean McIlveen also prioritize giving back to the community, making it a point to hire employees that possess values similar to theirs. Apart from providing quality legal services, the entire team also works on various charity projects throughout the year.
Through the Best Places to Work Awards, companies are acknowledged for their overall ability to keep their employees happy, healthy, and engaged in the workplace. Companies were chosen based on nominations submitted to the Charlotte Business Journal. All qualified employees then participated in an independent survey hosted by Quantum Workplace - with survey results being used to score the companies in the small, medium, and large categories.
