McKeesport, PA (PRWEB) November 19, 2015
Auberle will hold the public portion of its Annual Meeting on Monday, Nov. 23. Board Member Bishop David A. Zubik will be in attendance. Auberle Board Directors, clients, stakeholders, supporters, neighbors and community members will attend to hear Auberle’s annual report to the community reviewing the organization’s impact over the most recent fiscal year and agency accomplishments. Some of the accomplishments that will be covered is the recent award from the PA Juvenile Court Judge’s Commission for the Employment Institute. The award recognizes the ability to help youth with juvenile court involvement obtain national certifications and well-paying careers. The meeting will celebrate this award plus the national acceptance of a digital work ethic badge, a $1 million federal funding grant to the Employment Institute, and an update on the progress of our 412 Youth Zone in downtown Pittsburgh to serve 1,500 additional youth. Attendees will also hear from Colin W., a former Auberle youth, who recently received the Homeless Children Education Fund’s Youth Resilience award. He will be sharing his testimony on how Auberle has helped him.
The agency will also distinguish high-performing staff and programs from the past year, ending June 30, 2015. Auberle will recognize our community partner, The Forbes Funds for their tremendous support over many years. Date Dewey, President of The Forbes Funds, along with some of her staff will be in attendance to accept the award.
