The vision and performance depend on individual’s propensity to change and that is ‘Personality’.
21st century is the era of changing technologies, principles, ideologies, practices and changing businesses; the era which laid the foundation of online marketplaces, revolutionized the communications and redefined the roles & responsibilities of a leader in a fast changing business world. Like engineers, teachers, and computer professionals, corporate leaders too, must need to change themselves as per the needs and demands of the time. There are five key attributes that influence the decisions and actions of a leader, and the performance of the organization she/he is representing.
1- Ideation & Innovation
A leader should be a good initiator at the time of brainstorming activities, her/his role shouldn’t restrict to delegation, team building, monitoring and decision making. Of course, these are the prime responsibilities of a leader, but beyond these, she/he should be able to generate creative and innovative ideas, rather one should be able to take initiatives in the ideation process. These are the creative ideas which made Steve lobs an inspirational leader and apple an iconic brand. Besides, one should be influential enough to catalyse the gray cells of the team members and fair enough to reward their creative ideas with due appreciation and incentives.
