Women Veterans Interactive to Host Women Veterans Hiring & Employment Fair

Washington, DC (PRWEB) October 20, 2015
Today, it’s easy to seek shortcuts to finish tasks in a hurry. But there is one group who consistently believes in the merit of hard work: women veterans. But what happens when female veterans have difficulty finding work after their service?
Next month, Women Veterans Interactive will host the nation’s largest workforce development session and hiring fair geared toward women who are veterans or who are still serving.
For years, the Women Veterans Interactive Extravaganza & Employment Hiring Fair has consistently brought out the best and brightest women who are seeking new career opportunities after the military and who are coming to learn which viable options are available to them.
“I honestly don’t think many people realize the challenges women veterans have faced as they served our country. The focus, determination, and fortitude to perform and endure in less than desirable circumstances have made women veterans some of the best equipped candidates for both support roles and those that require leadership and vision,” said Ginger Miller, White House Champion of Change and CEO of Women Veterans Interactive.
In addition to the hiring fair, attendees will participate in a workforce development session, resume workshops, and onsite interviews.
Some of the event sponsors so far this year include top-notch organizations such as: Capital One Bank, IFAS, Johnson & Johnson, USAA, AUSA George Washington Chapter, and Prudential among others.
The annual event has garnered national attention including recent donations and recognition from television and movie producer/actor Mr. Tyler Perry. Current and past speakers and panelists also include celebrities and organization representatives who provide valuable resources for women in the military.
Organizations looking to recruit qualified, hardworking employees and/or meet diversity initiatives are encouraged to attend the Women Veterans Hiring & Employment Fair on November 12-13, 2015 at the National Harbor.
To discuss joining the hiring fair as an employer, please email: employers(at)womenveteransinteracive(dot)org for further information and to get answers to any questions on how to fulfill your organization’s recruitment and hiring needs.
Employers are also invited to please register at: https://womenvetsworkforcedevelopmenthiringfair.eventbrite.com
