Washington, DC (PRWEB) September 30, 2015
Former Rep. Lee Terry, R-Neb., received the “Spirit of America” award from jobs4america and NobelBiz for his efforts in paving the way for growth in telecommunications and financial services in the U.S. enabling the creation of thousands of jobs across the country. Terry is currently senior advisor in the government relations and public group for the international law firm Kelley, Drye and Warren.
The award was presented to Terry by Jeff Sheehan, jobs4america board member and Phil Grudzinski president of NobelBiz during ceremonies at the Professional Association for Customer Engagement (PACE) Leadership Summit in Washington, D.C.
“After surpassing our initial two year goal of creating 100,000 new customer service jobs in the United States by 2014 we are well on our way to exceeding our goal of another 100,000 jobs by December 2015,” said Sheehan. “Our new direction in 2016 combines workforce training, economic development and guaranteed job placement for participants in select markets across the country.”
“Congressman Terry made it his personal mission to help businesses grow and expand employment opportunities as Chairman of the Subcommittee on Commerce, Manufacturing and Trade on the powerful House Committee on Energy and Commerce,” said Grudzinski. “He understands the digital transformation that is occurring in the world of customer engagement and the positive economic impact in the U.S. linking technology to meaningful jobs.”
“It is an honor to receive this award from jobs4america and NobelBiz reflecting my work in Congress, and now with Kelley Drye, and Warren, to help restore our nation of builders and unleash the American economic renaissance,” said Terry.
The “Spirit of America” award has been presented in the past to author and educator Stedman Graham; Missouri Congressman Emanuel Cleaver, II; Michigan Governor Rick Snyder; Michigan Economic Development Corporation President Michael Finney; and Dialog Direct CEO Douglas Kearney.
