STERLING, Va. (PRWEB) September 25, 2015
Neustar, Inc. (NYSE: NSR), a trusted, neutral provider of real-time information services, today announced that Mohan Atreya has been appointed Vice President, Product Management Security Services. Mr. Atreya, a veteran of McAfee, Cisco Systems and RSA, will be responsible for defining and executing the strategic direction for Neustar’s Security Services, including DDoS Protection, DNS Services, and Web Performance Management.
Mr. Atreya joins Neustar as the company parlays its expertise in authoritative identity to benefit its customers’ marketing initiatives, while limiting their vulnerability to risk and fraud, providing security and ensuring network operations. Neustar’s unique and proprietary dataset fuels the essential services that brands need to keep their digital identities safe. In particular, Neustar’s Security Services allow companies to protect their customers’ digital experience by preventing outages and dropped traffic while safeguarding infrastructure from DDoS attacks and other threats.
“As security threats continue to grow in frequency and complexity, the demand for our security services is increasing at a very rapid pace,” said Brian Foster, Senior Vice President, Information Services. “Mohan has the depth and breadth of experience to understand the evolving threats and deliver a next-generation of services that meet our customers’ requirements for protection, ease-of-use, and affordability.”
As the author of Digital Signatures, a book launched at the RSA Conference in 2002, Mr. Atreya has more than 15 years of experience in the cyber security industry. Prior to joining Neustar, he was Senior Director for Intel Security (McAfee), where he was responsible for McAfee’s Encryption, Server/IaaS Security, and Advanced Endpoint Protection products. Before McAfee, he held various product management roles at Cisco Systems and RSA. Mohan began his career as a software engineer for Electronic Transfers (NETS) in Singapore.
“I’m very excited to join Neustar and help the company define and deliver our next-generation of security services,” said Mr. Atreya. “Neustar has carved out a unique position as a trusted, neutral provider of insights, and I believe our security services will be an increasingly vital component of our portfolio.”
