Why HR should be excited about Annual Reports
For the past year one of my biggest projects was working with Laurie Bassi and Andrew Lambert on a white paper about Annual Reports. It might seem an odd topic for HR, but the winds of change in global reporting are sweeping HR content into the report and it could have a big impact on the HR profession.
The wrong way to approach the new demands for 'integrated reporting' is to see it as a compliance exercise. In fact the 'reporting' part of 'integrated reporting' is the least interesting element. What is worth your time is being part of a process that articulates how human capital creates value and backs that up with data.
