fred.mcmahon@fraserinstitute.orgTORONTO—On Tuesday, Dec. 2, the Fraser Institute will release the Economic Freedom of North America: 2014 Report.
The report ranks jurisdictions in Canada, the United States and Mexico based on their levels of economic freedom (measured in size of government, taxation, regulation, etc.) using data from 2012, the most recent year of available data.
“Research shows that people living in provinces and states with high levels of economic freedom enjoy greater prosperity, more political and civil liberties, and longer life spans,” said Fred McMahon, report co-author and Dr. Michael A. Walker Research Chair in Economic Freedom at the Fraser Institute.
A news release (in English and French) with additional information will be issued via Marketwired at 6:30 a.m. (Eastern) on Tuesday, Dec. 2.
The full report will also be available at
