    Cubic Transportation Systems President Steve Shewmaker Appointed to California Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors


    SAN DIEGO, Calif. – Dec. 22, 2014 – Cubic Transportation Systems, a leading integrator of payment and information technology and services for intelligent travel solutions, announced today that Steve Shewmaker, president of Cubic Transportation Systems and executive vice president of Cubic Corporation, has been appointed to the board of directors for the California Chamber of Commerce. 

     
    “It is a privilege to share my new position with such a prestigious group of individuals on the board representing many top businesses in the state,” Shewmaker said. “I am excited to share my vision for making California more business friendly and to promote legislation that is good for business and for creating a sustainable living and working environment.”


    The California Chamber of Commerce has more than 13,000 members and its board of directors comprises top-ranking executives representing many of the state’s leading firms and industries as well as small businesses. The chamber’s charter includes protecting employers’ rights and interests in the legislative and regulatory arenas and promoting a strong and growing economy in California and the nation.


    A native Californian and graduate of Loyola Marymount University, Los Angeles, Shewmaker has been president of Cubic Corporation’s transportation subsidiary since 2008 and executive vice president of Cubic Corporation since 2013.
