    From Drama to Enlightenment

    You’ve probably had an experience where you struggled to figure something out. Maybe you struggled to figure out why you couldn’t close a particular kind of sale. Or, you struggled to figure out why you haven’t been able to influence or motivate an employee.

    Then one day, you have an epiphany—an ah-ha. It’s as if all of a sudden the light switch has flipped on. You can see how all the parts and pieces fit together. You can connect the dots.

    That’s what the first glimmer of enlightenment feels like. A great big Ah-ha where you are so excited to test out your new knowledge. You can’t wait to get an opportunity with a difficult sale, or the chance to deal with a difficult employee.

    When it comes to drama, I have discovered that there are levels that people go through when they are on the journey to enlightenment. Here are the seven levels:
