    Bay Area Commuting Options Save Money

    Working together, the Bay Area Air Quality Management District (Air District) and the Metropolitan Transportation Commission (MTC) approved a regional commuter benefits ordinance which became effective on March 25, 2014, and is on a pilot basis through December 2016. The program is focused on expanding employer participation in commuter options that in turn will decrease traffic congestion and reduce emissions and pollutants.
