ISA finalizes agreement enabling aeSolutions™ to market and deliver
select ISA safety, cybersecurity and alarm management courses
Research Triangle Park, North Carolina, USA (5 June 2014) – The International Society of Automation (ISA) today announced it has finalized an agreement with aeSolutions,™ a supplier of performance-based process safety engineering and automation solutions, to market and deliver a series of ISA safety, cybersecurity and alarm management courses.
The agreement paves the way for aeSolutions to offer the following nine ISA courses throughout North America:
Introduction to Safety Instrumented Systems for the Process Industry (EC50CT)
Safety Instrumented Systems - Design, Analysis and Justification (EC50)
Advanced Safety Integrity Level (SIL) Selection (EC52)
Advanced Design and SIL Verification (EC54)
Introduction to Industrial Automation Security and the ANSI/ISA-62443 Standards (IC32C)
Using the ANSI/ISA-62443 Standards to Secure Your Industrial Control System (IC32)
Introduction to the Management of Alarm Systems (IC39C)
Boiler Control Systems Engineering (ES15)
Burner Management Systems Engineering Using NFPA Code 85 and ANSI/ISA77 Standards (ES16)
Several of these courses are part of ISA’s safety and cybersecurity certificate programs (ISA84/IEC61511 Safety Instrumented Systems and ISA99/IEC 62443 Cybersecurity), which enable students to obtain certificates that demonstrate competency in ISA and International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) standards and associated engineering techniques and procedures.
The ISA-approved instructors for the training courses include aeSolutions’ safety, cybersecurity and alarm management experts Mike Scott, John Cusimano and John Bogdan. aeSolutions will begin offering two ISA courses, EC50 and IC32, during the week of 7 July 2014 in Anchorage, Alaska USA.
