Legal Seminar on Hiring and Restructurings in the Nordic Region
IUNO invites Human Resource Professionals and in-house counsels in New York with responsibilities in the Nordic region to a seminar with a special focus on Hiring and Restructurings in the Nordic Region. The seminar takes place at the amazing Nordic restaurant Aquavit on 2 April 2014.
During the hiring process many corporations face potential legal pitfalls limiting, permitting, and/or barring the recruitment or compensation and benefits strategy. Similarly, when restructuring, organizations will have to navigate their way through a number of hurdles in relation to employees.
A panel of experts from the different Nordic countries will guide participants through the key legal considerations surrounding recruitment, hiring and restructuring in the Nordic region while identifying effective human resource management strategies to help achieve corporate goals.
During the seminar, you will get valuable information on the rules in each of the Nordic countries related to the most important aspects of the recruitment and restructuring process, including the different types of employment, restrictions on the hiring process, ability to collecting information, as well as determining the correct employment terms and conditions, etc. You will also learn which elements are fundamental in a redundancy procedure; including both trade union consultation and employment protection.

Tea, coffee and a Nordic breakfast will be served from 8:30am with the session starting at 9:00am. There will be a mid-morning break and the seminar will come to a close at 12:00noon.
