Analytics Dashboard
The analysts from Bersin & Associates identify the topic of "deeper analytics capabilities within systems" as one of the central transformative changes in the "evolution of enterprise learning management". Learning analytics solutions, as an integral part of learning management systems, allow the optimal preparation, visualisation, administration and interpretation of organisational, content-based and personal data. They also act as intelligent assistants, which improve organisation-wide learning, especially in terms of high information quality and a high degree of personalisation. With the Innovation Pack 2, IMC is continuing the expansion of its learning analytics solutions and equipping the Learning Suite with additional optically sophisticated reports. These reports, in accordance with the requirements of the user, are provided in a thematically ordered and clearly arranged way via a personalised analytics dashboard. The new reports include, for instance, test questions per user, the number of active users, user status, catalogue questions and course assignments, as usual these can be analysed in aggregate form, detailed, grouped and in different forms of presentation. The users have the opportunity, with a single click, to opt for and subscribe to the relevant reports, and incorporate them into their personal learning environment. The simple, reduced and theme-related symbolic language supports the users in the use and administration of the reports.
Content Analytics
With the Innovation Pack 2, the Learning Suite facilitates uncomplicated communication with the new authoring software "IMC Content Studio", which also enables the simple creation of learning content for mobile devices. Content created in the Content Studio based on SCORM 2004 can be imported directly into the Learning Suite and analysed in detail by supervisors or tutors. For example, when analysing a WBT, it is possible to follow exactly which questions are answered, what status is achieved and the results that were attained, or the number of users that have completed a specific chapter or the entire WBT.
Content Management
It's not only in terms of MOOC (Massive Open Online Courses) that video formats are one of the lasting trends in digital training. Learning videos such as training films, smart shows and interactive videos also help, even with complex behaviour, by conveying learning content simply and neatly. The video centre offers a clear structure and depiction of videos. The videos can be viewed with preview images, which allow learners to get an idea of the learning content at a glance. Of course, the videos can also be assessed or placed in their own media centre. Depending on the scenario, they can be depicted in HD quality or played back in standard definition. It is of course possible to integrate the videos into courses or catalogues. In addition, a user-friendly and detailed search function ensures that videos can rapidly be retrieved.
True to the slogan "Open Innovation”, with Innovation Pack 2, IMC is once again concentrating very heavily on the customers' needs. Innovation Pack 3 will follow as early as summer 2014, and amongst other things will focus on barrier-free, responsive and search machine optimised user interfaces.
