The savvy customer is not looking to be sold to anymore. They want to “buy” what they want – after careful consideration and research.
But the question is “What are they researching? And where are they getting their information?”. If you don’t have a content strategy, now is the time to get one. You need to be identified as a relevant expert in your market – so potential customers will turn to you for advice and information. The buying part comes later – but don’t worry, it will come!
Here are 3 things to keep in mind when developing content:
1. Get it from the horse’s mouth. Ask your customer what they want - really!
2. Vary it up. Different media, different channels – be where the customer is again and again.
3. Use Links. Links to your website, of course. But links to other content? Yes!

A content strategy can sound overwhelming – but it can be as simple as 1 or 2 items a week. Just keep it consistent, and you’ll start reaping the rewards!
