[ltr]MANAGING TOXIC ATTITUDE (The story of the Dead Company)*
A new Managing Director was hired (from a blue chip corporation) for a company that was not doing particularly well. On the day he resumed, all the existing employees questioned his wisdom and decision to join a dead organization. In fact, they berated his poor sense of judgment. Few days
later, the new MD did something absurd by inviting a Clergyman to come and officiate in the funeral ceremony of the dead Company. The Priest, in turn, did something ludicrous and scary by bringing a giant casket with which to bury the dead company.
After the homily the Clergyman opened the casket and invited all the staff to come forward and pay their last respect to their company, starting with the new Managing Director. When the MD peeped into the casket, what he saw shocked him and he refused to disclose to his Deputy but encouraged
everybody to take their turns. After every employee had observed the ritual, the priest decided to close the casket. At that point all the employees protested in unison. What happened was that each employee had seen his image in the giant mirror that was placed inside the casket by the
officiating priest.[/ltr]

A living organization will have living and productive members. Conversely,
a dead company will have “dead” employees.
