    Health Care Employer Mandate Delayed
    Fiona Gathright
As you may have heard, the Obama administration announced yesterday that a key component of the Affordable Care Act -- a rule that penalizes some employers for not offering health coverage -- has been delayed until 2015.

You can read the Department of the Treasury's announcement here and the White House's announcement here.

Put simply: The law requires businesses with more than 50 full-time employees to offer a minimum level of coverage or face a penalty -- which means insurers and employers must report who is insured and at what level of coverage. Timothy Jost at the Health Affairs blog has done a wonderful job breaking this down. He raises a number of great questions, which we hope the administration will answer soon. Stay tuned!?alt=rss http://feedproxy.google.com/~r/blogspot/corporatewellness/~3/HfW4Qc6__8U/health-care-employer-mandate-delayed.html
