      The link appears to be dead. However, I must comment. Steve Jobs was a brilliant innovator. His visionary determination allowed his organization to create things that seemed to defy physics, code, etc. He can join Ben Franklin, da Vinci, Edison, and others in the hall of fame. But please, let's not put the man in a godlike status. "How Steve Jobs' unique leadership style has forever changed our everyday lives..." Really? Steve's biggest mistake was not accepting he was inept at managing and motivating people except (in most cases) by intimidation. The stories are true folks, I was there doing HR "back in the day" and had friends who worked directly with him. He simply should have hired a buffer. He could have retained a whipping post to relay the edicts to the common folk in a more motivating fashion. Bad cop, good cop really works. There seems to be this urban legend that if he had not been such a jerk, things would not have been accomplished. There is so much data by industrial psychologists that totally refute this claim. The carrot wins. The stick creates passive resistance and one can only wonder how much that held the company back. How much more he could have produced if he would have stuck to his expertise (vision) and left the communicating to those gifted in that area?
