Unemployed and Feeling Lost

Unemployed and feeling lost
Are you recently unemployed and feeling like it is the end of the world? Sitting around and feeling sorry for yourself will get you nowhere past being pathetic. Take some of these tips into consideration and you might find yourself going from unemployed and lost to employed and happy.
1. Get out of bed and set a schedule: It is more than unlikely that you will find motivation while lying in your bed all day. Take a shower and get dressed, it will make you feel better regardless if you are leaving the house. Try to avoid sweats and pajamas; those will also lead to unmotivated behavior. Set yourself a schedule of what you are going to do for the day. With a set schedule you are more likely to pull yourself out of feeling sad and sorry for yourself. Try including things such as job hunting, exercise, or anything that goes along the lines of being productive. Job hunting will help you feel better about the loss of your job, and can potentially help land your job. Exercise releases endorphins and if you’re out of a job what better way to enhance your mood than staying fit. With the two of those suggestions in mind, both allow for networking, which potentially could lead to a job in your future.
2. Make a weekly list of goals: making a list of goals for the week will give you a guideline of what you need to keep track and stay on top of for the week. Be sure to check off the tasks you finish as you finish them, because believe it or not checking things off will lead to feeling very accomplished. Use your time effectively and achieving your weekly goals will be a piece of cake.
3. Keep a positive attitude/ don’t give up: Even though being unemployed can be pretty upsetting, but you have to keep a good attitude if you want to make progress. Keep in mind that the right attitude and hard work will all be worth it in the end. Believe in yourself and do not give up.
Unemployment can be very upsetting but by reading these tips, you will have a whole new outlook on the way you spend your unemployed days. Stick to what you want to achieve and your more than likely going to find what you are looking for in your next job of choice.
