hireQ Launches at DEMO 2012
PALO ALTO, CA--(Marketwire - Oct 2, 2012) - Today marks the official launch of hireQ, Inc., a "consumerprise" internet startup looking to transform the way people look for jobs, and the way companies find talent. Using insights from organizational behavior and behavioral psychology, we analyze personality and fit in addition to skills and experience. Unlike the traditional recruiting approaches which evaluate fit as a 2nd, 3rd, or 4th step in the recruiting process, hireQ uses its proprietary algorithm as a talent sourcing tool. This reduces the clutter of recruiting, allowing candidates and companies to focus on the opportunities that really matter. We match the right candidates to the right careers at the right companies. This leads to higher yields, happier employees, better performance and lower attrition.
The company was co-founded by Oliver Staehelin and Catherine Spence. The two friends met at the Stanford Graduate School of Business where they discovered a mutual passion for helping companies and job seekers connect not just based on their skills, but also on their interests and values.
hireQ is indebted to an excellent advisory board, which includes Thomas Friel -- Former Chairman and CEO at Heidrick & Struggles International, Greg Waldorf -- Former CEO at eHarmony, Professor Charles O'Reilly -- Professor of Management & Organizational Behavior at the Stanford Graduate School of Business, and Pulin Sanghvi -- Director of Career Management at the Stanford Graduate School of Business.
