SumTotal(r) Systems, Inc., the global leader in Strategic Human Capital Management (HCM) solutions, today announced the appointment of Jeff Laborde as its new chief financial officer. Laborde will oversee worldwide finance and accounting and will work closely with the executive team to help further define, align, and execute the company’s strategic vision. Additionally, he will be responsible for SumTotal’s legal, human resources, information technology, and customer renewals departments.

Laborde brings over 15 years of extensive finance, accounting, planning and operational experience from his various roles covering the technology industry. Most recently, Laborde was a managing director at Goldman, Sachs & Co. in the Technology, Media & Telecom Group based in San Francisco. Previously, Laborde was a member of the Credit Suisse First Boston Technology Group, also in San Francisco, and of Arthur Anderson’s Enterprise Audit Group in of Washington, D.C. Laborde earned an MBA from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.
