5.1 The proposed salary and benefits structure for AL-IKHWAN has been developed in a way that it provides the requisite capacity to the organization to attract and retain professionals at various levels giving due regards to the budgetary constraints. The proposed compensation structure of AL-IKHWAN envisages establishment of three categories/group of employees as follows:

a) Managerial Group
b) Supervisory Group; and
c) Support Services Group
5.2 The number of bands/pay scales within each group is presented in the following table.

5.3 Each group in the proposed structure has been further split into sub-groups. The sub-groups under managerial category have been classified as follows:

5.4 The proposed pay scales indicate increment steps representing minimum increase in the basic salary of an employee. These steps provide for an annual increase of 10% in the payroll cost.

5.5 We have proposed three regular monthly allowances as follows:
• House Rent Allowance @ 45% of basic pay
• Utilities Allowance @ 10% of basic pay
• Conveyance allowance @ 10% of basic pay
5.6 The benefits recommended in the proposed structure include the following:
• Medical Benefits
• Provident Fund
• Leave (Annual, Sick/Casual, Pilgrimage & Maternity)
5.7 Medical Benefits: All full time permanent employees and their eligible dependants would be entitled for health insurance cover through AL-IKHWAN. Eligible dependents are spouse and unmarried children up to the age of 22 years.
5.8 Provident Fund: A contributory provident fund shall be maintained for all regular employees of the AL-IKHWAN. The contribution shall be made at a rate of 10 percent of basic salary.

5.9 Leaves: Employees would be entitled to 10 calendar days of annual leaves and 15 calendar days of sick/casual leaves. Annual Leaves can be accumulated upto a maximum of 20 days including current year’s entitlement. Any leave in excess of 20 days will automatically lapse. All full-time female employees who have completed two years of employment with AL-IKHWAN, shall be entitled to six (6) weeks of maternity leave (2 weeks pre-natal and 4 weeks post-natal) with full pay. Such leaves shall be allowed only twice during the entire period of service. The employees shall be allowed Pilgrimage leaves upto a maximum of 45 days with full pay. These leaves shall be admissible to the employees only once during their service after completion of two years continuous service with AL-IKHWAN. The authority to allow or reject pilgrimage leaves rest with the CEO.
