More than three-quarters of the organizations that participated in the survey responded that they currently use some form of workforce analytics system to manage and report workforce data.
However:
- 34% indicated that they were dissatisfied or very dissatisfied with their current management of workforce analytics;
- 34% planned to moderately or significantly increase their investment in workforce analytics;
- 30% said they would benefit from easier-to-use analytics tools, and;
- 23% felt they would benefit from an improved ability to interpret and present workforce data.
Clearly, the survey indicates that there is an acceptance of using workforce analytics in organizations to manage and report HR data. However, the survey also revealed that there is room for greater improvements in the solutions they are selecting to manage and report
their workforce analytics. When asked what would most aid their success, over half of the participants either responded with ease-of-use or an improved ability to interpret and share data.
This highlights the continuing struggle with existing solutions to find insights and share them with the organization—the key to delivering business impact.
Organizations that want to achieve best-in-class status and maximize their performance and profitability have realized already that workforce analytics have become a “must have.” In such a competitive landscape, workforce analytics are no longer a “nice to have.”
