As we turn the page on 2011 it's worth taking a look at the work
Mercer has done recently with their What's Working survey. As you can see in the info-graphic, employees are not on the same page with managers and senior managers when it comes to perspectives on the work they do every day.
According to Michael Burniston who leads Mercer's Human Capital business in North America, “across virtually all aspects of the work experience – such as pay, benefits, performance management, careers, work environment and management effectiveness – nonmanagers hold distinctly different views than do their bosses.”
With as many as 60% of employees actively looking for new jobs, the story for 2012 is clearly that employee engagement matters and that smart organizations will look to get on the same page with their talent.
We remain committed to helping organizations close this gap and look forward to sharing ideas, best practices and customer stories on the subject in the new year.
I encourage you to
