Monster announced the launch of its newest website Return2Home on Thursday. The site’s goal to connect Non-Resident Indians, or NRIs, with Indian-based firms looking to hire outside talent from abroad was fueled by the increasing amount of NRIs seeking to return home. This was confirmed by Monster when an internal survey of Monster India found that a large portion of its job seeker traffic came from applicants out of India.
Despite the increasing opportunities for employment in India fueling the return of NRIs, a study held by Corp-Corp with Indian IT professionals showed that over half of the IT professionals in India surveyed were planning on returning home for family.
The site is dedicated to NRIs in the US, Britain, Canada, the Gulf and Southeast Asia interested in returning to India to work. At the moment, the site offers positions from around 30 companies including Tata Consultancy Services and Novartis Healthcare.
With thousands of companies relocating to India, employers are hiring more talent to meet the demands of expanding companies. Return2Home’s goal is to separate the increasing NRI applicants and interested employers from the hundreds and thousands of regular job opportunities.
The service is expected to grow as many North American and European companies hoping to locate to India, search for expatriates willing to share their expertise in global trade practices.
